Death comes knocking at the door
and another life will be no more.
Family and friends pay their last respects
knowing that the time is near
for the one they love to depart as
death comes knocking at the door.
All will say the person lived
a full and fruitful life.
But in these final hours,
there's not much left to say.
Death comes knocking at the door
and no one can stop it entering in
and calling yet another home.
The only thing left is to pray
the departed is at peace when
