The morning is not meant for surprises
but we all walked right into a bombshell
when our leader decided to disappear before our eyes
feeling he needed another place to dwell.
The place became as silent as a ghost town,
each person thinking today will not be well
because this is one person who's always been around,
always telling us business will be better.
We just needed to get our name out on the town,
whether in person or by phone or by letter
we could show clients what we can do.
But today his efforts are no longer there to offer
and the rest of us have to make it through.
But haven't we don this before, step up when it was time,
when changes happened right out of the blue,
put our heads together in order to find
solutions to absences and problems that abound?
Yes, now that the past has come to mind
we never let bad news get us down.
Instead we kept going with the business affairs,
we kept doing quality work around town,
and we did well. That's how we fared
because in the end our structure is strong.
We can get through this. We're not going anywhere.
