New Office Space

They call it maximizing space.

An old supply room
turned into a new office
and all I got was an e-mail
informing me that I will be
the lucky one to move there.

Office realignment

does not mean putting people
in storage.  It doesn’t matter
that the walls have new paint
and  the floors have new carpet,
it’s still an old supply room

and people are not supplies.

Supplies are kept under wraps
until needed and some are
needed more than others.
Am I now becoming a supply
to be put away in a room

out of sight until needed?

Great to see you speak up. And to use the art form of poetry to do so is powerful. You said what needed to be said so eloquently. I must say this is the best poem I read from you. You start the year knocking the ball out the park (you went yard).

Undervalued, underpaid, doesn't matter how you slice it, when it gets that bad, it's time to walk away.

You have expressed yourself in an eloquent & entertaining fashion. I hope it was therapeutic. Getting pigeonholed isn't a good feeling...

A very good poem about the dehumanizing of the workplace.

So glad to not work in an office. You expressed this so well.

Wow friend... i can so relate to this..

As a commodity as a civil service employee..

i was at the mercy of the golden cuffs...

i was 'their' cattle for herd..

A prisoner of their will..

No!.. people should not be put into rooms without windows..

They need light..they need sun...

Dam ..even my inside cat can get that on the screened in patio..or bedroom window...

Well..work almost killed me...and stress and all of that..and everything physically disabling that can come with that..

But now i alive and too disabled to work..

But not too disabled to live THANK GOD..

AND NO I DON'T FEEL BAD ABOUT IT...

AS THEY DID NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT KILLING
ME..AND NO THEY DID NOT DO IT..

EVEN UNWITTINGLY
!

I FEEL YOUR PASSION BROTHER..

AND GOOD LUCK TO YA...

happy new year2!2ya!
